CURRENT MEDIA CALL

Long Term Raw Foodists for our "Raw Elders" issue in September.

We are seeking people who have followed a high raw diet for more than a decade, regardless of their age.  With the word "fad" being passed around occasionally about the raw food movement, and with the growth in number of raw foodists with the knowledge we have from the internet, we find a great amount of value hearing from people who have followed a raw lifestyle for a long amount of time.  We're keen to hear about your lifestyle - what it has meant in the long term, what are your food traditions, are you experiencing longevity or ongoing good health, and is there a topic you're passionate about that you'd like to share with others.

Contributors Guidelines

Living Raw is an independent bi-monthly magazine aimed at eco-conscious people following and fascinated by a lifestyle fuelled by organic, pure, raw foods living in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.  We feature interviews, reviews, recipes, stories, theme columns, bloggers and more across the themes of raw food culture, lifestyle, eco-living, beauty, food and kitchen, health, vitality, business, and passion.  Like our readers, we're organic and grass roots, but globally aware of the impact a processed lifestyle has on our bodies and the planet.

Our readers expect to hear from professionals and individuals who are walking the talk, who 'live raw', are vegan or vegetarian, down to earth and passionate about their beliefs.  We're looking for articles that inspire, are not a sales pitch, and offer practical, actionable information for our readers.

Our aim is to showcase locally grown talent - being people living in Australia, New Zealand, throughout Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Korea, etc) and expatriates from these countries living elsewhere.  We interview one international "raw celebrity" each issue, and our policy may extend to include a second internationally-authored article if deemed relevant to our audience.

Contributions are not paid for, but we do pay in kind with information about you and reference to your website if you have one.

Please submit your contribution using the form below.

Product Reviews

We welcome your food products, clothing, eco-gifts, films and documentaries, music, ebooks and books for review.  All products received will be blogged (starting August 2010) with select items making into the print magazine accompanied with a review / description.

All products must be vegan - using no animal products whatsoever.  Raw Vegetarian Food products with Honey will be accepted, and must be clearly marked.  Food products must be uncooked, unpasteurised and raw, and containing ingredients of the same nature.

Books should generally be about raw food, whether they are a cook book or advice book.  Broader knowledge books, such as personal development, inspirational or books written by authors who follow a raw food diet are accepted.

Products made in, available from or focussing on Australia, New Zealand or Asia are given first preference, except in the case of print books.

Please post any products for review to:
